We are super excited to welcome our first guest coach and ⭐ runner- ELLIE STEVENS 👑
🗨️ When did you start running?
I started running when I was 13 years old after spending my childhood as a dancer. What began as a simple school sport quickly became a passion and eventually a huge part of my identity. Running gave me confidence, purpose, and a sense of belonging. I was fortunate enough to reach a high level in the sport as a young athlete, representing Great Britain and pursuing my dream of competing on the biggest stages.
🗨️What were the main highs and lows

Ironically, what has shaped my relationship with running the most wasn’t the success, but adversity. After spending more than a decade battling chronic fatigue syndrome (M.E.), I lost many of what should have been my prime competitive years. Running became something I desperately missed rather than something I took for granted. When I finally regained my health, I returned to the sport with an entirely different perspective. Every run, every race and opportunity to lace up my shoes feels like a gift. At 41, I’m running faster than I ever did and I’m still chasing goals, but now I do it with a deep appreciation for the simple ability to move.
🗨️ How exciting is it to see women’s running so popular now?
One of the most exciting developments in recent years has been the growth of women in running. More women are discovering that running isn’t just about fitness or race times, it’s about empowerment, confidence, community, and mental well being . Running provides a space where women can not only challenge themselves but clear their minds, build resilience, and connect with others. Whether someone is training for a marathon or simply heading out for a 20-minute jog after work, the benefits extend far beyond physical health.
🗨️ From successful athlete to successful coach- talk about that transition

Today, one of the most rewarding aspects of my journey is helping others discover those same benefits. Through my coaching, I work with runners of all abilities, from complete beginners to athletes chasing ambitious goals. I love seeing people achieve things they never thought possible, whether that’s running their first 5K, qualifying for Boston, or simply finding a healthier and happier lifestyle through movement.
🗨️Why did you decide to move into coaching?

The running community has given me so much throughout my life, and I believe strongly in giving back. I try to support local races, mentor athletes, encourage participation at every level, and create an environment where people feel welcomed and valued regardless of pace or experience. Running has an incredible ability to bring people together, and that’s something I never want to lose sight of.
🗨️ Final message and thoughts
For me, running has always been about more than competition. It’s about connection, resilience, gratitude, and becoming the best version of yourself. If my story can inspire even one person to start their own journey, then that’s a success far greater than any medal or finish time.
